The Israeli Prime Minister is speaking to his government’s health insurance system as the country prepares to celebrate the end of the year and begin the year-long mourning period.
At a news conference with health care officials on Thursday, Netanyahu acknowledged the impact of the ongoing conflict on Israel.
“It’s been a year of very difficult circumstances, especially in the first half of this year,” Netanyahu said, according to a translation by the Hebrew news site Ynet.
“The world is still reeling, but at the same time, we have a chance to make the most of this time.”
The Israeli Prime minister said he expected a major improvement in the health care systems of the country’s citizens, and that he hoped the system could be improved for the next year.
“We hope the health insurance companies will help us in the future, and I am sure they will,” Netanyahu added.
Netanyahu is expected to make a major announcement about the health system later on Thursday.
